We have three types of lawn turf that we deliver to anywhere in Yorkshire to suit your needs, be it for budget lawn turf for those on a tight budget through to a fine bladed lawn turf for that extra special garden.
Stadium Lawn Turf
This lawn turf has been designed to be hard wearing for use as a family lawn or for use in open public areas. The turf has been developed to have a fast recovery from general wear and tear. This turf is covered by the “Weed Free On Delivery Guarantee”.
Rye Gold Lawn Turf
This lawn turf contains fine bladed grass and is well suited for use as a family lawn as it is durable and hard wearing. The turf is a deep shade of green which looks very nice when cut with a lawn mower with a roller to give that striped effect of the classic British lawn. This turf is covered by the “Weed Free On Delivery Guarantee”.
Budget Lawn Turf
If you need a lawn on a budget, then this lawn turf will meet your needs for a family lawn. This lawn turf is NOT covered by the “Weed Free On Delivery Guarantee”.
LAWN TURF CUT TO ORDER
All of the lawn turf delivered to Yorkshire is freshly cut to order from the turf fields just before dispatch for delivery. This means that when the turf arrives it is in a prime condition for turf laying to take place.

TURF LAYING 5 DAY WEATHER FORECAST – Yorkshire
A key element in laying turf is weather condition. Cool dry conditions are ideal for laying turf. Once laid the turf needs regular watering twice a day in the first week and then daily until the roots start to take. Keep the turf moist, but don’t drown it in excess water. The below forecast for the Yorkshire Region will assist you in planning to order and lay your turf.

Do I have to be in when the delivery is made?
We can arrange for the delivery to be left without a signature this does have to be arranged well in advance of the delivery.
Goods cannot be left on the roadside.
When is the best time to lay turf?
It is best to lay turf in the Autumn or Spring, when it is not too hot and not too cold.
Turf can be laid in the Winter, but it will take longer for the roots to grow into the soil.
You can lay turf in the summer but the turf must be laid the same day and watered on a more regular basis.
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
Yes, the minimum order quantity for turf is 10 square metres.
Minimum quantity for topsoil or compost is one bulk bag.
Do I need to use top soil underneath my turf?
If your soil is of poor quality your new lawn will benefit from being layed on some fresh topsoil.
If your ground is uneven it will also benefit from some more soil being placed down.

How is the turf delivered?
We deliver the turf to the kerbside of the address, using a tail-lift wagon.
We do not deliver by hiab vehicle so we cannot lift loads over walls, hedges or fence.
The delivery needs to be made to a flat, hard standing area. Let us know if you think there may be potential access problems.
How much notice do I need to give for delivery?
We deliver Tuesday to Saturday.
Saturday and AM/PM deliveries are available. Please see delivery selection at checkout stage.
